Where It All Began

Every collection has a story.

Ours began long before Keepsake Collectables ever existed.

Like many collectors, we discovered Pokémon as children. The excitement of opening booster packs, trading with friends and chasing favourite cards sparked something that stayed with us long after childhood. Although life took us in different directions, the hobby never truly left.

Years later, those childhood memories became the foundation of a friendship, a shared passion and, ultimately, Keepsake Collectables.

Two Different Journeys, One Shared Passion

For one of our founders, rediscovering the hobby became much more than nostalgia. Collecting became a source of optimism, connection and lasting memories. Travelling with family, exploring hobby stores throughout Australia and overseas, and sharing the excitement of opening packs together reinforced a simple belief: sometimes the greatest value in a collectable isn't its price - it's the moment attached to it.

For the other founder, collecting became a way to experience the hobby through the eyes of the next generation. Sharing Pokémon and One Piece with young children, celebrating new pulls and building collections together became a reminder of why the hobby captured our imaginations in the first place. It became more than collecting - it became quality time, tradition and memories that will last well beyond childhood.

Although our journeys have been different, they have always led us to the same belief:

Collectables are about people first.

Why We Created Keepsake Collectables

Behind every order is someone's story.

It might be a parent introducing their child to a hobby they loved growing up.

It might be a lifelong collector finally finding the product they've searched years for.

It might simply be someone looking for a welcome distraction after a difficult week.

We set out to build the kind of store we would be proud to buy from ourselves - one where professionalism is expected, honesty comes before hype, and long-term relationships matter more than short-term sales.

We are collectors before we are retailers.

We understand why condition matters.

We understand why careful packaging matters.

We understand why clear communication matters.

Most importantly, we understand why trust matters.

Every parcel is packed with the same care we would expect if it were joining our own collection.

Every customer deserves the same level of respect, whether they purchase a single booster pack or a sealed case.

Because trust isn't something that can be advertised.

It's something that must be earned.

Giving Back to the Community

From the very beginning, Keepsake Collectables has been about more than buying and selling collectables.

We believe the collecting community is strongest when people support one another, celebrate each other's successes and help create memorable experiences for collectors of every age and experience level.

One of our earliest community initiatives saw us give away hundreds of Pokémon booster packs and mini tins to collectors across Australia. We didn't ask for purchases, memberships or even email sign-ups in return.

It wasn't about marketing.

It was simply our way of saying thank you to the community that has given us so much over the years.

As Keepsake Collectables grows, so too will our commitment to giving back.

Whether that's through future giveaways, educational content, celebrating collectors, supporting families discovering the hobby together, or simply helping someone find the product they've been searching for, we hope to leave the collecting community in a better place than we found it.
